Bonnie Blankenship

Bonnie Blankenship, Hedingham’s Hi-Milers President, passed away on Saturday, May 10th, 2008 after suffering a stroke Wednesday. She was only 60.

Bonnie was a great friend, always there to lend a kind hand. She was very involved her community, always wanting to do for others. There will be a hole in Hedingham that only she could fill, with her tender & compassionate ways. Someone so special, can never be forgotten. We ask that you keep her & her family in your prayers as they make their way through this difficult time.

No funeral or memorial services will take place. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to:

Humane Society of the United States
Dept GAIT04
2100 L Street N.W.
Washington, DC 20037

The sorrow of the faithful
is not that of permanent loss,
but the tender sense of sadness
that comes in saying good-bye for now
to someone we love.
May today’s sorrow give way
to the peace and
comfort of God’s love.

Easter Picnic
With well over 150 kids attending the Easter Picnic at Linville Ridge Park, it was a wonderful success. While we did have to contend with a light sprinkle, a great time was still had by all. With egg decorating, sack races & the egg hunt (not to mention a visit from Peter Cottontail HIMSELF), it was a wonderful time. Thanks to all that came out & next year will be even better!
